2010 ICD-9-CM Official Guidelines Released

The 2010 ICD-9-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have been released. These guidelines will go into effect on October 1, 2009, to coincide with the implementation date for the 2010 ICD-9-CM updates.

These guidelines go into effect Oct.1, 2009, not Oct.1 2010 as you state above.
